"From the beginning, I always felt like I was in excellent hands with Judith. I was expecting our house sale to be a very stressful experience, but with Judith’s knowledge and experience I was amazed at how smooth an experience I had. She took care of everything from marketing the house through completing the final contract efficiently and with integrity, taking all of the worries and hassles I was expecting off of my hands. I would recommend her without reservation."
"It was a pleasure working with Judith. She took care of every little detail and really went the extra mile to get the results we were hoping for. I would highly recommend working with her.

"I thought I’d drop you a brief note to let you know how pleased I was with your recommendation to have Judith Meisen of Macdonald Realty sell my mother’s home on Wallace Street. I found Judith to be both a competent and professional agent and very knowledgeable in the real estate industry.
As you may know, Mum is now 85 years old and has lived at Wallace Street for 30 years plus. Needless to say, the sale of her home was quite traumatic. Judith’s empathy in dealing with my mother certainly made my role in this situation a lot easier. Should the occasion arise you may use my name as a satisfied client."

"This letter is to give credence to the high ethical standards we hold for Judith Meisen. A few years ago we put our home up for sale, and we had as our listing agent Judith. She was always a pleasure to be with and we were very pleased with all our dealings with her. Our home had been on the market for a period of 5 weeks when we had two offers presented to us on the same day. One of the potential purchasers was a client of Judith’s. The other offer was from a client from another agent. When both the offers had been presented to us, we intended to counter the offer that Judith presented to us. Even though she would have received a much larger commission representing both the vendor and the purchaser, she dissuaded us from countering the offer she had presented to us. I commented to her at the time as to why she was willing to give up a much larger commission. She replied that it was in our best interests to deal with the offer from the other agent’s client. Judith looked after us first before she even considered herself. After our home sold we decided that we would rent for a year and gauge the market. Once again, when we decided to purchase another home, we contacted Judith to represent us. We have always held Judith in high regard and more than appreciate her professional ethics."

"Judith has the ability to quickly ascertain and be cognizant of a client’s needs and applying this knowledge in identifying potential properties for consideration. In corporate recruitment and relocation situations this is an invaluable asset to successfully fulfill positions, particularly in Vancouver where the cost of housing is one of the highest in North America. Executive moves often are under strict schedule and time constraints, and Judith high level of professionalism and service excellence makes the process seamless and reliable.
It is my pleasure to highly recommend with confidence Judith Meisen, both as a Listing Agent and/or a Buyer’s Agent."

"Judith Meisen proved an excellent choice of realtor for the sale of my home of 24 years (I had interviewed several other realtors before making my choice). She was attentive to the situation and needs of my family; gave useful advice about preparing the house and property for more attractive presentation to potential buyers; and explained clearly all stages and details of the listing and selling process. Judith also provided useful information about the relevant market and pricing, and she prepared an attractive photographic and descriptive brochure of the property. She was available and supportive at every stage of the negotiation and closing process, and she managed to achieve a better-than expected sale price given the state of the market. All in all, Judith went well beyond the norm in her guidance, concern, and skills to achieve a successful sale and completion. I recommend her highly for the listing and marketing of your home."

"In 1996 alone her participation was a crucial element in enabling me to recruit outstanding people as Dean of Arts and Dean of Medicine.
Particularly helpful in Judith’s strategy is her ability to ask the right questions, to listen carefully to the responses, to develop an appropriate itinerary and to arrange for consultation with people in such complementary professions as financial advising and mortgage brokering. In every case where Judith has worked with a candidate I have received compliments on the level of professionalism she has shown. It is my pleasure to recommend Judith Meisen most highly to individuals or to other private or public"

"First and foremost, we felt comfortable with Judith as a person. We felt that we could trust her, we felt that she understood us in terms of our needs, goals, tastes and financial limitations. She kept us well informed of new listings and arranged for prompt showings whenever we asked. She was so accommodating of our schedules and punctual that we sometimes wondered if she had any time left for her other clients. When viewing homes, we found her opinion valuable. She has a good concept of what a home should be and what constitutes good value. This goes far beyond asking how old the wiring is and when the roof was last repaired. It took us almost half a year to find and buy a house. During that time we must have viewed at least fifty homes. We never felt rushed. She never made us feel that viewing any house was a waste of our time or her time. We eventually understood that finding the right house at the right price was a matter of actually going through lots and lots of houses and getting a feel for what you like, what works for you and the current market. The house we eventually bought was not the same house that we described to Judith at the outset – this reflects what we learned from seeing so many homes. When it came down to actually putting an offer down, we truly felt that our agent was up to bat for us. After purchasing a home, we had to sell our current home and quickly. As with any sale, we wanted to net as much as possible from our current home. Given the very competitive market, we had considered agents that would’ve charged bargain commissions. However, along the way, we had encountered several agents who we felt we wouldn’t trust and to whom selling fast was more important than the selling price. This was certainly not the case with Judith. She came through our home and told us what to do to make it most marketable. Knowing that we had to sell our home quickly, she got our house on the market promptly (literally before the paint was dry). She quickly generated lots of interest and sold our house in only four days at a price that left us very pleasantly surprised.
Our experience with Judith has been very positive. It is true in general that the market will dictate price. However, we got a home that we really love and we sold our current home quickly; we felt we got excellent value in our new home and a tremendous price for our current home. The whole process was comfortable and rewarding for us. Thus, Judith comes to you highly recommended by us."

"We bought our house with Judith, and we sold it with her, 17 years later. She was recommended to us by friends and I am still grateful for this recommendation. When we bought our house I immediately had a sense that she really cared that we would find a home. It was about what would be best for us as a family – Judith cared!
And she continued to care about us over the next 17 years, periodically checking in. It was genuine. She had earned our trust and so it was no question when we decided to sell our house that she would be our agent. And she was absolutely brilliant. With the same care, enthusiasm, and thoughtfulness she guided us through the process, which - thanks to her experience and wisdom - only took two months (from our first meeting to inquire about selling till closing date).
I couldn’t ask for a better person to work with – buying and selling a house is a stressful and emotional process and having someone who puts you at ease throughout the process is of the essence. And that’s what Judith did, almost on a daily basis. She is amazing!"

"I had an extremely positive experience working with Judith, both when we bought our home some years ago and when we sold it late September last year. Especially during the sale we were dealing with a tricky market, and we had to make some tough decisions; the advice Judith gave us turned out to be right on, and we ended up with a great outcome. I'm so happy that she was there as our realtor to help guide us and be there for us 100% through a complicated and stressful process. Based on my experience with her, I would say that Judith's dedication, experience, market savvy, and strong people skills all make her invaluable as a realtor. I recommend her very highly."

"I recently sold my home in Dunbar, Vancouver West with Judith Meisen. Yes! In the current, extremely difficult Vancouver real estate market, Judith was able to guide me safely through the current real estate landmines, with her sympathetic and thorough understanding of people, her vast experience with the Vancouver market, and her ability to draw on a solid network of support in the real estate community. She truly partnered with me, from holding my hand through the tough parts, to discussing pros and cons of the confusing parts, to expertly guiding me through to a successful, and timely, sale. She is terrific, and I can’t recommend her highly enough."
"Judith Meisen has been my agent since 2007. I have bought and sold several properties through Judith and she has always been a true professional. Her attention to detail and commitment to long term relationships is truly excellent. Her ability to listen to my requirements and deliver on them has ensured that I was always completely satisfied with my real estate transactions. Her knowledge of the Vancouver market is exceptional. I have no hesitations in recommending her services. She has always worked diligently with great integrity.
- Sincerely, Mary Disher"

In memoriam now for both of them, with sincere gratitude for the generosity of their words, and always missed greatly.
"Thanks again for the great way you handled the sale of our family’s home. As you know all too well it was a really emotional sale for us, and the fact that the market was already falling and suddenly getting worse made it all the harder. I suppose that’s why we appreciated your skill, excellent grip on reality, tact and sensitivity – not to mention sheer hard work and persistence – so very much. When we met several years ago the market was at the top of its form and we really admired your professionalism as well as liking you personally, right away. At the same time, you introduced us to the townhouse of our dreams, without which I don’t know where we’d be. What a coup! Anyway, this year, in a different kind of world, under stress, and conditions that were alarming to us all, we came to appreciate that professionalism even more. Thank heaven we all actually rallied together and took your advice when we did, although it seemed a bit of a hard pill to swallow at the time. Life would be a lot more complicated and would have felt a lot worse if we hadn’t. Although none of us – you included – was particularly happy with the price at the time, we’re really, really happy now. We have the luxury of hindsight, Judith but you had the hard job of having the foresight!
It’s funny, Judith: Realtors and lawyers. Everyone says they hate them, but everyone desperately wants a really good, understanding, intelligent one they can trust. We hope you’ll continue to be our friend and associate for years to come, and wish you all the best."

In memoriam with heartfelt sadness for the most influential person in my life.
"I have known and trained Judith Meisen for many years, and have come to respect her as a determined athlete who brings a combination of strength and artistic talent in her pursuit to become an accomplished figure skater. She started with me as an adult, beginning with her first steps on the ice. Throughout the many years of my involvement with the sport of figure skating I have never experienced another adult, who never skated as a child, and yet with minimal practice opportunities due to her busy career, has managed to reach a level of competence enabling her to perform strong free skating routines with jumps and spins, and all with unusual flow, ease and grace. In the testing scale of the Canadian Figure Skating Association Judith passed the 6th test in figures (highest test is eighth or Gold) and the Senior Silver Test in Dancing. Her focused determination and commitment speak for themselves in her achievements, while her high degree of persistence and love of the sport reflect an unyielding spirit."
